Creating Clients

  1. From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Admin tab.
  2. Click Setup > Organization Unit menu > Client.
    Result: The Clients window is displayed.
  3. From the top menu, click Action > Add.
    Result: The Client entry window is displayed.
  1. Enter the code for and name of the new client.
  2. Enter or zoom to select the code of the unit head. Select DEFAULT if this field is not needed.

NOTE: The unit head is the actor(employee) in your organization who is responsible for this client, such as the supplier quality engineer if the client is a supplier. This field is required because it may later be used for escalation.

  1. Enter the address information for the client.

NOTE: .This is imperative for SmartComplaints™ and Complaint Management eMDR submissions.

  1. Enter a notification email list.
  2. Click the Org Unit Type drop down button and select the type of client.

NOTE: For information on configuration, see Org Unit Types.

  1. Click the Save button.
    Result: The new client has been added and the Detail of the client is displayed.
